I am not good with words...I just love my LTA!!!
I love Lambda Theta Alpha because it truly is a sisterhood. Gamma Gamma is my family, and my college experience would not have been the same if it wasn't for these women that I call my sisters. LTA has made me a better person. I have learned more about myself and my strengths. I have networked with sisters across the country and I have matured professionally through the years. We have a bond and will always have each other whether here in Knoxville or anywhere else in the world.

Being a sister of Lambda Theta Alpha means you have the opportunity to truly extend your support system. I have been able to seek help from sisters on so many aspects of my life. I've inherited a strong support system since becoming a sister and I feel any sister can receive as much as she is willing to give. Throughout the 7 years of membership, my sisters have consoled me when I'm sad and advised me when I need wisdom. I love the fact I can network and learn from sisters who came years before and years after I first joined. I value the fact LTA supports universal women to become apart of this organization. It truly enhances the quality of support and insights of life you may gain when building relationships with your sisters."

I feel that LTA has created a family in a place where at one point I felt I had no friends and family. I love my sisters and I'm thankful for them in my life. LTA has helped me network, and I have business skills that I would have never had if it wasn't for my duties as a sister. LTA is a life commitment, and not only do I commit to the sorority, the sorority commits to me. I love how I can be myself and enjoy being around others that can do the same! I love my sisters and together we unite as one to be the very best as a whole and as individuals in the community.

I was as normal a college student as they came. I was discovering myself, trying to make good grades, meeting new people, and just trying to make it through each year better than the last. I went to school full time and worked part time. I was always busy. The thought of joining a sorority hadn’t really crossed my mind until the beginning of my sophomore year. Even as busy as I was, I wanted more. I wanted to be a part of something. That’s when I started to notice the Greek life on campus, that’s when I found Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. I did my research and found myself wondering into an interest meeting before I knew it. I remember meeting the sisters of LTA for the first time. These ladies were just like me; they studied, they worked, and they even went to the occasional party. Everyone was unique, but the same. They had this love for each other and their organization that I found terribly contagious. This love transcended all boundaries and embraced each and every possible difference from interests and beliefs to varying social and economical backgrounds and a world of different ethnicities. This love was expressed through community service, social and educational programs and most importantly the empowerment of each other and LTA as a whole. This is something that I wanted to be a part of. This was a group of people that I wanted to surround myself with. Yes I supposed I could have just settled for being friends, but after being properly introduced to the organization and everything it represented, I couldn’t just stop there. It was then, and is now, the perfect organization for me; an organization built on a foundation of integrity with strong roots in academics, all the while bettering the lives of its members and having a positive influence on the community. Since becoming a sister in 2007, Lambda Theta Alpha has been a huge part of my life. Through LTA, I have become a better person and a better friend. The bonds formed through this amazing sisterhood have stayed with me long after graduation and will continue to stay with me for a lifetime.

"I am the happiest when I am with my sisters."
My father was in the army and growing up I had to move every 3 years which meant that I was constantly having to make new friends everywhere I went. When I went to college I was in the same situation and then I found LTA. It was a group of girls who accepted me for who I was, shared the same values and qualities as myself, and were basically just a group of great woman I wanted to surround myself with. From painting The Rock, road trips, parties, library study sessions, and endless amounts of inside jokes I am the happiest when I am with my sisters. It feels like I've known these ladies all my life not just since 2005. Even now that we've graduated, married, had babies, and are well into our careers, the bond I have with them is as strong as ever and I wouldn't change a thing.

There is not enough time in the world to explain every reason that I love Lambda Theta Alpha, and there is definitely not enough time in the world to thank all my sisters for what they have done for me. Honestly, from coast to coast, sisters have helped me in the most selfless and generous ways, even when we had never met before. The connections we have with each other in this organization cannot be described. It can only be experienced.
Outside of that, the way I have developed as a professional and a leader has been exponential because of the opportunities that LTA has given me. I love this organization. I love my sisters.

"Joining... has been one of the best decisions of my life..."
LTA has given me the tools to be the woman that I am today. Not only am I stronger and wiser, I am also prepared to take on the real world and be successful. I am truly belssed to have all my sisters in my life; they are my backbone. Joining Lambda Theta Alpha has been one of the best decisions of my life, and I couldn't imagine my life without this organization. I have found a sisterhood bond that I wouldn't trade for anything in this world!
